We’ll be happy to show you through any of our properties. When you rent a property through Active Property Management you do not pay any letting fees. Our telephones are answered 24 hours, seven days a week and we undertake to take care of repairs and maintenance as soon as we can.

When you apply to rent a property managed by us we will carry out credit and reference checks. Our Tenancy Agreements comply with the Residential Tenancy Act and we fully explain the terms and conditions before you sign. Usually we require 2 weeks rent in advance and a bond of 3 weeks rent.

At Active Property Management we really do care what our tenants think about our service. When tenants move on we ask them to rate our service on the basis of responsiveness, professionalism and efficiency. We use a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 = bad and 5 = excellent and a summary of how tenants have responded follows. The percentages represent the tenants that rated us either 4 or 5:

  • Initial enquiry 98%
  • Viewing the property 93 %
  • Our documentation 88%
  • Routine inspections 89%
  • Repairs and maintenance 83%
  • Vacating procedures 89%

We take note of what tenants are telling us in their exit questionnaires and are always working to improve our service.

Here’s what some tenants have to say about Active Property Management:

“Thanks heaps for being very responsive and professional property managers over the past two years.  It has meant that any issues with the property have been resolved very quickly.  Feel free to pass that on to the owners” – Jane from Highbury, July 2011.

Ben & Co (2012): “We would recommend  the folk at Active Property management to anyone who is seeking a rental property. Our group of three looked for yonks trying to find a place that would have us – Mike and Annette made our dream come true. They looked past the fact that we were students and took us for who we are instead of what we are and found us a wonderful flat. Professionalism is a key strong point for Mike and Annette, no less than a weeks notice was ever given for a flat inspection and they are really respectful of you during these inspections. The best part about these guys is that they’re always keen for a chat and are genuinely interested in how its going. We’ve had some shocking property management in the past and its refreshing to work with the crème of crop.  Cheers Annette  and Mike! We hope to work with you again in the future”.

JS – Wadestown (July 2013): “We have truly appreciated your absolute professionalism, friendliness and genuine interest in caring for the property throughout our tenancy. We would recommend you to home owners and prospective tenants without hesitation”
